These days, a big part of our summer here in Berlin is our very own weekly open-air party where our Suol artists play their sunniest tracks alongside international guest DJs and live acts. The venue is IPSE, a beautifully secluded piece of paradise in the city right by the Spree canal. It’s on every Monday and we call it ‘Hallo Montag’ (‘Hello Monday’)!
So, after four great years of presenting you with our favourite summer scorchers and hammock- friendly House gems in the form of our annual Summer Daze compilation, that honour will now fall to our new baby – the ‘Hallo Montag’ series.
And what a line-up we have for the series’ first EP.
We kick things off with an absolute legend of the German House scene, none other than Mr Ian Pooley. ‘Time’ is true to form to say the least, with his trademark style doing the business you cannot go wrong.
‘Waffelhaus’ means – you guessed it – waffle house. Could it be a new genre that M.ono is offering up here? Or is it the snack he is recommending to give you ample blood sugar for dancing to this quirky groover?
Iron Curtis gives us ‘The Further You Look’. Look no further if nostalgic organ action, bouncing beats and a super-catchy little vocal are what you are after.
‘Is This A Banger?’ asks Italian-born Black Loops. That’s an easy one. Yes sir, yes it is.
‘Lluvia’ is the classy contribution by Malaga’s finest, Carlo. Massively danceable and with
sunshine oozing from every groove. We luv ya too, Carlo!
Schiggeria’s ‘Muggelhausen’ rounds of the EP with a soulful party bomb. With its irresistible percussion-heavy groove, jazzy keys, stabs and trumpet licks as well as a killer vocal sample you can already hear the dancers screaming for joy.
